Frequently Asked Questions

Issues with the automatic pH controller

Can we use the controller to inject pH Down or pH Up?

Yes. By accessing the programming menu, we can change the program and have the controller inject pH Down (acid) or pH Up (alkaline).

How often should we calibrate the pH probe?

It is advised to calibrate the probes or electrodes as often as possible, as errors occur over time. Ideally, the probe should be calibrated every 15 days.

How long does the controller take to regulate the pH?

It depends on the water volume of the tank and the pH product, as it can be more or less aggressive. For instance, for a water tank of 225 l, starting with an initial pH of 7.2 and achieving a final pH of 6.2, the pH controller will take approximately 25 minutes.

How often is it advisable to change the tubes?

For the aspiration and delivery tubes of the controller, it is advised to change them regularly every 12 months. It's also recommended to change the peristaltic tube inside the controller every 12 months as well.

My pH readings are inaccurate. Why?

Possible reasons:

pH probe is contaminated or dirty.

Incorrect calibration of the pH probe.

pH probe's glass bulb is broken.

Cable or connector of the pH probe is broken.

Possible solutions:

Clean the pH sensor as described in the probe warranty manual.

Hydrate the pH probe in the storage solution.

Ensure that the calibration solutions are in perfect condition for use (replace if in doubt).

Wait longer for the reading to stabilize before calibrating.

Check if the pH probe is damaged. If the probe or any of its components are damaged, replace them.

Issues with Automatic Ec Controller

How can we use the Ec controller?

We can use fertilizer products or boosters, or we can prepare our own mix of nutrients so the controller injects it into the water tank at a perfect Ec.

How often should we calibrate the Ec probe?

It is advised to calibrate the probes or electrodes as frequently as possible since errors occur over time. Ideally, the probe should be calibrated every 15 days.

How often should we change the tubes?

For the intake and output tubes of the controller, it's recommended to change them every 12 months. The peristaltic tube inside the controller should also be changed every 12 months.

My Ec readings are inaccurate. Why?

Possible reasons:

Ec probe is contaminated or dirty.

Incorrect calibration of the Ec probe.

Broken cable or connector of the pH probe.

Possible solutions:

Clean the Ec sensor as described in the probe warranty manual.

Ensure the calibration solutions are in perfect condition for use (replace if unsure).

Wait longer for the reading to stabilize before calibrating.

Check if the Ec probe or any of its components are damaged. If so, replace them.

Issues with pH&Ec Controller

Can we use the pH&Ec controller for any cultivation systems?

Yes. The pH&Ec controller is designed for any cultivation system, both for continuous systems and for drip irrigation systems.

What water volume can we use with the pH&Ec controller?

The flow rate of the controllers is adjustable from 0 to 2 l per hour. This way, the controller can maintain the optimal pH and Ec values for water tank volumes of up to 20,000 l.

Can we use the automatic pH controller to inject pH Down or pH Up?

Yes. By accessing the programming menu, we can change the program and have the controller inject pH Down (acid) or pH Up (alkaline).

Problems with Hydroponic System

Can we use the Hydroponic System controller for any cultivation systems?

Yes. The Hydroponic System controller is designed for any cultivation system, both for continuous systems and for drip irrigation systems.

What water volume can we use with the Hydroponic System?

The flow rate of the controllers is adjustable from 0 to 7 l. In this way, the controller can maintain the optimal pH and Ec values for water tanks of up to 50,000 l.

Can we use the automatic pH controller to inject pH Down or pH Up?

Yes. By accessing the programming menu, we can change the program and make the controller inject pH Down (acid) or pH Up (alkaline).
